COMFORTABLE AND WELL-DOSED SCREWING
Whether you are a professional craftsman or a do-it-yourselfer who wants to work like a seasoned professional - a versatile ratchet screwdriver (also called a ratchet or ratchet) simply belongs in your toolbox. Because this practical multi-tool guarantees fast and efficient work in every situation - without having to reach for it. With just one tool, you can literally carry out screwdriving work with a wide range of screw types or sizes in no time at all.
The 9-in-1 multi-tool includes the following attachments: 3 slotted screw bits (SL4, SL5, SL6), 3 cross-head screw bits (Phillips PH0, PH1, PH2) and 3 hexagonal sockets (1/4" [6.3 mm], 5/16" [8 mm], 3/8" [9.5 mm]). The individual tool components can be compactly plugged together and are in turn plugged into the handle. This means you always have all the attachments with you and can get started straight away. Depending on the attachment required, the individual elements can be easily combined using a quick plug-in connection. All components are equipped with a spring-loaded ball bearing for a secure hold. Thanks to the ratchet function, you benefit from a high level of working comfort, both for small precision work and for larger objects.
Reversing the direction of rotation: Turning left and right for best handling
In order to always exert the best power transmission when screwing screws in or out, the ratchet handle can be set to three different settings: "clockwise", "counterclockwise" and "locking" for screwing, unscrewing or locking. The integrated 360° ratchet has 30 teeth and offers you a minimum return angle of only 12 degrees in both directions of rotation, so that you can still move nuts and bolts even in tight conditions. Of course, the ratchet function can also be locked, so that you can work as if you were using a rigid screwdriver. The rubberised handle supports a non-slip grip.
DO WORK PROFESSIONALLY
Whether it's bicycle repair, assembling a cabinet, screwing on pipe clamps or computer housings - the combination tool from Trotec will serve you well.
The bits made of S2 tool steel and the sockets made of chrome vanadium steel are available in various profiles and shapes. The 9-in-1 ratchet screwdriver is supplied with 3 tips for slotted screws, 3 for cross-head screws and 3 hexagon screws. The practical compact set thus replaces a 9-piece screwdriver set and thus minimizes your equipment.
Included attachment types and sizes:
- 3 x slotted bits SL4, SL5, SL6
- 3 x Phillips cross bits: PH0, PH1, PH2
- 3 x hexagonal nuts for 1/4" [6.3 mm], 5/16" [8 mm], 3/8" [9.5 mm]
If functionality, comfort and quality are particularly important to you, then the Trotec 9-in-1 ratchet screwdriver is the right choice for you. The combination of robust workmanship, high-quality materials and perfectly coordinated mechanics are a guarantee for professional work and durability.
Multitool bits: Which attachment type is suitable for which work?
At work, in the hobby area as well as at home we encounter a multitude of different screws. Wood screws, sheet metal screws, screws with slotted, cross-headed and hexagon thread. All screws have one thing in common: they connect two things. For example the handle with the kitchen shelf, or the housing parts of a computer. With the 9-in-1 ratchet screwdriver you are well equipped for almost all of these tasks.
Slotted bits for easier fastening and assembly work in the house, woodworking and restoration
The slotted screw is one of the classics among the screws. However, compared to cross-head screws, the slotted screw offers a lower power transmission. It is still frequently used in woodworking and furniture construction in particular, as maximum power transmission is not so important here due to the softer material. In any case, it should be noted that the width of the slotted bit must match the width of the screw head. If the tip of the bit is wider than the screw, you may damage the workpiece. If the tip is too narrow, you will slip during screwing and damage the screw.
Cross-headed bits for work on bicycles, motorcycles and technical and electronic devices
Phillips screws are mostly found in electrical appliances, in the automotive sector and on the attachments of bicycles and motorcycles. The so-called Phillips cross recess is one of the most widespread screw heads with different diameters. Compared to the slotted screw, the force is transmitted directly with 2 crossed slots. The Phillips cross-head bits in the sizes PH0, PH1 and PH2 contained in the 9-in-1 ratchet screwdriver enable a secure and non-slip hold of the tool tip in the matching screw head.
Allen nuts/socket wrench for universal wood or metal screw connections
Hexagonal bolts are everywhere. For minor repairs in the household, for kitchen or appliance assembly, but also in the DIY and hobby sector. They are mainly used where retightening of the screws may be necessary or where the use of a vertically positioned screwdriver is not possible for reasons of space. The 3 hexagon nuts included in the delivery of the 9-in-1 ratchet driver have a size of 1/4" [6.3 mm], 5/16" [8 mm] and 3/8" [9.5 mm] for quick and durable screw connections without accidentally slipping off the nut head.
Hint:
Use a suitable tip type (bit) for each application - because this is the only way to ensure perfect operation. Incorrect sizes and abrasion often lead to wear and tear of the screw heads, which can then no longer be used.
